Comment: I have been coached before but the experience was not successful what is the difference between various life coaches please?

Hi Steve

The Coach/Client relationship is very much dependant upon progress, if you are not making any advancement in your life then something needs to change, either the coach or the strategies that are being used.  Your life coach has the great advantage of giving you an outside perspective in a questioning manner, to be able to facilitate your ability to make relevant choices relating to your current situation and circumstances.  Hope this helps :)

Comment: Hi There, I have been thinking about taking up a session of life coaching but not sure if I need it! sounds daft but how do I know?

Hi Tracey

You are in the same thought as many here, the life assessment check is not designed to catch you out as a potential clients, many individuals complete the life assessment check before undertaking any formal coaching and they quickly realize the areas in their life that need to be developed.  Some continue with the assistance of a life coach, others carry on themselves having used this tool to help them recognise what those particular areas are.  The life assessment check is free as part of the initial consultation that I like to provide to help people move forward, the rest is up to you :)

Comment: Hello there, is there any way you can tell me how long I would need coaching for? thanks:)

Hi there Susan

There is no set time limit for  life coaching, this is totally up to you and the progress that you are making.  The point here is that you decide how long you want to be coached for based upon your circumstances, in essence you totally control the pace and the length of time you would like to be coached :)

Comment: Is there an age limit can you coach for older people

Hi Marian

There is no age limit to those being coached, apart from student coaching where there is a lower limit.  You would be surprised to know how many clients there are undertaking life coaching who are developing areas for retirement, relationships, finance and general well being.

Comment: Hello I was just wondering what the main benefits are from life coaching ... I am a very negative person ...always thinking the worst will happen etc...can life coaching help with this?

Hi Cheryl

Thank you for your question, we are all inherently negative in some shape or form and the joy of life coaching is such that the process provides you with many options that you have never imagined possible in order for your life to change.  Your life coach will facilitate an environment where endless opportunities arise to provide you with an experience that breeds positive outcomes.  There is no other process that does this and you own the choices you make.  Your life coach facilitates the evolution of options that are available to you in any given circumstance, from an unbiased and outside point of view that cannot be attained through family or friends.

Comment: Ive just been promoted to a manager position from a deputy. Would you be able to help give me some tools to keep progressing within my work?

Hi Stephen

The managerial toolkit is vast and varied and is very much dependent upon those tools that you already have.  Life coaching will help you to explore all your current strengths and qualities in order to ascertain the gap that is missing within your toolkit.  Management and executive coaching is absolutely huge and with an effective life coach you can jumpstart your new career within the workplace making your professional life more productive, efficient and effective.  It is with this new found productivity, efficiency and effectiveness that you can seek to gain an optimal work life balance within your new chosen profession.  Management and leadership skills are already inherent within us to some degree, it’s how you choose to fine tune and develop such skills within your chosen profession that makes you an even more effective manager and leader.

Comment: Can you help anyone suffering from domestic violence

Hello there,

Anyone suffering from domestic violence usually feels very isolated and alone, with no one to turn to for either comfort, advice or even just to be able to turn to someone and use them as a sounding board to express their concerns and worries.  Life coaching whilst indirect in its nature will open your mind and thoughts to be able to suddenly have choices to make, in how you can deal with or change your current circumstances.  Life coaching is not a counselling service, nor therapy in the strictest sense, however it is what was once termed by someone in a similar position as you, as a "powerful relationship between someone who can facilitate change for anything and everything with someone who cannot do it alone".

Hello Tina

Absolutely, as you will see from the above post, I can use the telephone or Skype to communicate with you; I also provide email support for clients who require this additional support.  If you have Skype I can chat with you on-line and go through a brief consultation with you if you like.

Comment: Same question for me please and I live just outside Osnabrück in Germany

Hi Steven

Yes I can, it depends upon the type of communication tools that you have, but essentially telephone is the primary method, Skype is also very popular.  If you would like me to go through it in more detail please email me a contact number and I can go through the services that I can provide for you and how we would actually contact each other and work together.

Comment: Hello, do you do relationship coaching please? Have you got Skype or can you do face to face sessions?

Hi there Tammy

The coaching session can take place either on the phone, face to face or through Skype, it is totally down to the choice of the client. Clients tend to prefer using the telephone as this provides the individual with a certain anonymity when discussing sensitive issues.   However, many clients do like to meet face to face as this breeds confidence and is more tactile in its nature

I hope this helps and thank you for your emails regarding discounts etc...

Comment: Is coaching the same as mentoring?

Hi Stella

No it is not, coaching and mentoring are two very different things.  Coaching is a voyage of discovery and progress based upon options, mentoring is very much like informal training support where you have a mentor to help and assist you in a very direct nature.  A mentor is someone who is further up the road than you in some respect, either knowledge, skills or professional awareness etc.  Coaching facilities your own thought process and it is through this system that the client develops and grows in themselves.
